✦ BEHIND THE PROJECT

the questions behind the build

A closer look at the purpose, people, and decisions that shape this project.

What problem should this project solve?
Tutors need to keep student details, schedules, session records, and payments connected. The goal is to reduce the effort of moving between separate records during day-to-day administration.
Who should the dashboard be designed for?
Tutors and administrators who organise sessions, maintain student records, and review payments. The interface should support their routine work with clear labels and predictable navigation.
What belongs in the first version?
Student management, a schedule view, session tracking, and payment summaries. A useful core journey is to find a student, check an upcoming session, and review the associated session and payment information.
What information should the project organise?
Student profiles, tutor availability, scheduled sessions, session statuses, and payment records. Linking these records around the student and session helps prevent duplicate or conflicting information.
Why is a consistent React interface useful here?
Reusable interface patterns can keep forms, lists, and status displays consistent across the dashboard. Clearly separated loading, empty, success, and error states would help tutors understand what is happening.
What should be improved or checked next?
Test overlapping appointments, cancelled sessions, missing records, and payment status changes. Before handling real student information, review access permissions, privacy, and secure storage; keep this project focused on administration rather than clinical decisions.
